The Project

 

As Social Work students at the University of Texas at Austin, Alexis and Leslie are required to complete a 540-hour internship practicum in the field. Botshabelo has invited Alexis and Leslie to complete those hours at their community in South Africa. Alexis and Leslie will join Botshabelo in their mission to improve the lives of the economically challenged, especially children who have been orphaned by or exposed to HIV/AIDS. As a member of the Botshabelo community, Alexis and Leslie will work to break the cycle of poverty and bring hope, safety, education and sustainable growth to all of its residents.
