Meet Alexis

 

Alexis is pursuing her Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Alexis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Family, Child and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Human Services from Louisiana State University. She has dedicated over 500 hours in the field of Social Work. Past internships include Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana, St. Elizabeth Foundation Adoption Agency, Baton Rouge Rape Crisis Center, and Austin Groups for the Elderly. Alexis has always had a strong desire to work with children and families and is very interested in issues related to trauma, grief and loss, crisis intervention, foster care, adoption, and attachment. She believes Botshabelo will provide the best opportunity to learn and grow in these areas.
